"Bordeaux Wine Vacations took excellent care to plan a lovely long weekend for our 30th wedding anniversary which included hotel and transportation. My husband and I enjoyed a private dinner cruise, several visits to different wineries within the region, a visit to St Emilion as well as arranging an excellent tour guide and driver through out our stay! "This was truly one of the best trips we have ever had. From beginning to end, the planning, attention to detail, organization, and quality of every visit were absolutely outstanding.
The entire trip felt incredibly well balanced. We were able to learn a lot, visit amazing producers, enjoy the regions properly, and never feel rushed. Visiting Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion was unforgettable, and the visit to Château d’Yquem was definitely one of the highlights of the entire trip.
What made everything even more special was being able to experience the wines in their own environment, learn directly about the vineyards, history, and winemaking, and share great bottles and meals along the way. The whole experience felt very personal and much more than just a wine tour.

What an incredible experience from beginning to end! Our Bordeaux wine trip With Bordeaux Wine Vacations was everything we hoped for... and then some.
From the moment we arrived, the trip was beautifully organized and stress-free. One of the highlights was our sunset dinner cruise on the Garonne, enjoying delicious food, wonderful wine and those long, laughter-filled conversations that become some of your favorite memories.
Each day brought another amazing château, beautiful scenery, incredible wines and plenty of opportunities to relax, explore and enjoy the moment. We loved the combination of wine tasting, great meals, and simply having time to enjoy Bordeaux together.
And we have to give a huge shoutout to Thomas, our wonderful chaperon! He was knowledgeable, personable, patient and a lot of fun. He kept everything running smoothly while making us feel like we were traveling with a friend. Thomas definitely added something special to the experience!
And then came the final château... and WOW! It ended up being the highlight of the entire trip. The setting, the wine and the experience were absolutely unforgettable and the perfect finale to an already fantastic week.
We laughed, we explored, we drank some spectacular wine, we ate VERY well and had the most wonderful conversations along the way. We left Bordeaux with full glasses, full hearts and memories we'll be talking about for a long time.
We would absolutely recommend Bordeaux Wine Vacations to anyone looking for a thoughtfully planned, fun and memorable way to experience Bordeaux wine country. They took care of the details so we could simply enjoy the journey.

"When I first contacted Bordeaux Wine Vacations, I will admit I was a little nervous. Even after speaking with Daniel, everything sounded almost too promising! I shared the areas we wanted to visit and, seemingly off the cuff, he was already suggesting and committing to some very interesting château experiences.
We were visiting during the third and fourth week of September and I mentioned that I hoped we might catch some harvest action. The proposed itinerary was very thoughtfully put together, although many visits were initially placeholders pending confirmation. Paying a 50% deposit at that stage was a bit scary, but we decided to take the leap — and I am very glad we did.
From then on, the team provided regular updates, and about a week before our trip they created a WhatsApp group to keep us informed of arrangements and any changes. Of all the planning for our Bordeaux trip, theirs was probably the most seamless. They even coordinated our group's arrival from two different locations — the airport and train station — and took care of our transport, château visits and lunches throughout the tour.
We had Thomas for our first two days and Guillaume for our final day. Both were knowledgeable, engaging and great company. Conversations were lively and relaxed, and by the end we were even taking turns teasing one another about French versus Asian working culture!
What impressed me most, however, was how much effort the team put into making our trip memorable rather than simply following the itinerary. When they realised that some of our scheduled châteaux had already completed their harvest, they reached out to others so that we could still experience the harvest, sorting and pressing process.
On another occasion, I casually asked whether we might have time to visit a particular vineyard. We discussed how difficult it would be to fit in and assumed we would have to give something else up. Somehow, the team managed to slot it in as our final visit — and it ended up being one of our top three experiences of the entire trip.
That willingness to adapt, make calls and create experiences around what interested us was what made Bordeaux Wine Vacations stand out. We started the process slightly apprehensive; we finished the trip feeling that we had made an excellent choice. Thank you Daniel, Thomas, Guillaume and the team for making our Bordeaux wine adventure such a memorable one."

"What a great trip! Our guides Guillaume and Audrey were so knowledgeable and delightful. We enjoyed spending the days with them as we tasted so many great wines, visited so many lovely, world class chateaus, and ate beautiful gourmet meals. The hotels were lovely. It was like spending an enjoyable afternoon with family. We split our time between Bordeaux and Saint Emilion, which I highly recommend doing - very different vibes."
"We scheduled a 10-day vacation with BWV. We worked with them long-distance to customize the itinerary for our specific desires. All we can say is they went above and beyond our expectations, well beyond. During our stay, we experienced private wine tours of 13 châteaux. BWV set up a selection of amazing chateaux that were all unique. From modern to traditional, corporate to family, small to large, biodynamic and more. The work they put in to meet our desires was amazing! Mixed in with the wine tastings was a visit to Arcachon Bay for a private boat tour with a Champagne and seafood platter, a visit to the museums in the Dordogne region with privates guides and much more. Outside of the tours with BWV they made recommendations that turned out amazing that we wouldn’t have selected on our own. There aren’t enough words to describe the amazing vacation they provided. "Our vacation in Bordeaux was one of our best trips ever! The organization was flawless and perfectly personalized to our interests and expectations. It was a privilege to have private wine tastings at a dozen wonderful chateau's, each unique in its own way. Chateau D'Yquem was certainly the highlight. Another highlight was our cooking class with Chef Dan, which was delightful, tasty and very informative. Dan has a wonderful welcoming personality and is an excellent culinary instructor. "This was the best tour/vacation I’ve ever had. Getting a fully guided tour of not only the city of Bordeaux, which is stunning, but also a tour of some of the top vineyards in the region. World class. The tour guides were so incredibly knowledgeable I was blown away. Come to find out they grew up and worked in the vineyards themselves. The wines that we tasted were incredible. We saw completely different styles of vineyards, storage, and processes. We ended up seeing 7 different vineyards and they were each unique in their own way. Spend the money this tour is a no brainer and will make your trip that much more enjoyable."
